Like many other companies in the industry Siri Marine has felt the consequences of the low oil prices and global downturn in the shipping industry. After a slow start to the year an up swing seems to be underway this summer; several projects are underway for both existing and new clients across the entire offshore and shipping industry.

A quick overview of some of the projects at the moment:

On a production platform our Stuctural Integrity Monitoring system is being used for short term monitoring of the platform’s behavior. The data collected will be used for determining the structural integrity of the platform and for upcoming maintenance and modifications.

Several tow transports are coming up or have just finished; from a barge loaded with container cranes to FPSO’s. All equiped with lreal time display on the tug and the Siri live application allowing for remote access to the tug’s display.

We are also currently assisting one of the largest salvors in the world with a new salvage job they have taken on. After installation we will assist the salvors via a remote connection from our office providing support and writing up reports where required.

One of the things we love at Siri Marine are special projects and at the moment we are performing alignment measurements during the upgrade of a derrick onboard a drillship in South East Asia. Our client wants to make sure that during and after replacement of large parts of the derrick the alignment is still absolutely spot on to prevent unnecessary damage to onboard equipment.

We look forward to what the rest of the year will bring. Want to discuss your project or get a quote? Please contact us!
